Tip-Top Tuesday – 23/06/20

Greetings Platypuses,

I hope you had a great day yesterday celebrating and learning about Windrush.

Look at this brilliant letter Kiyana wrote. Do send in any work you did at home.

English

It’s report writing time of year and once you’re in Year 1 we ask you to write a pupil comment about what you’ve enjoyed and what your challenges have been this year.

Please do your writing (roughly 4 sentences) and email in a photo of your work.

The deadline is Friday. We will call to follow-up if we do not receive anything as we do need work submitted from all children for the reports to be complete.

Here are the prompt questions:

What do you feel confident about this year?

What do you think you need to learn more about next year?

What have you enjoyed learning about at school and at home? (Your topics this year have included Animals, Castles, Transport)

What could your learning targets be for next year?

Email to year1@herbertmorrison.lambeth.sch.uk please.

Answers from yesterday are:

Rights Respecting

Today we’re going to think about your right to a clean and safe environment and the duty that all of us have to take care of our planet. We are going to learn more about plastic and the journey it takes…

So can you answer the question? What are some of the things that could happen to the bottle now?

Let’s finish with a story…

So what did you most enjoy doing today?

Do stay in touch.

  2. Hello 🙂 Well done Muhammad. It’s great to hear that he found Windrush fascinating and that it prompted discussion and sharing of family history, how wonderful! Thank you, you too.

  3. hello
Muhammad tried really hard with his writing and his maths work. He asked lots of questions and was really fascinated about the windrush. This prompted questions about his family history too as his grandparents and great grandparents are immigrants too.

Thanks so much for the work today and have a good evening
