Full steam ahead Friday – 19/06/20

Greetings Platypuses,

Full steam ahead…what part of your learning does that make you think of?

The answer inspires your art later on!

No phonics today! Feel free to practise it using PhonicsPlay as recommended above.

Please keep having a go at Google Classroom – we would both like to see more than just a few children submitting work. A big well done to them though! Do email if there are problems and I’m happy to help.

Describing words in adverts. You will be identifying adjectives (describing words) and using them in your writing. Do send some in!

Also a bonus writing and creativity activity…

Father’s Day

Also if you need some inspiration for your card you could be inspired by Supertato and make your card a Super-Dad/Grandad/Uncle/other special adult card!

The answers to yesterday’s work:

In today’s lesson we are learning about making equal groups, this time with the focus on grouping:

I will post the answers to today’s work at the very end so you don’t have to wait until Monday to check the answers!

P4C (Philosophy for Children)

Start by watching these videos to continue to develop your understanding of refugees as part of our Refugee Week learning then consider the P4C question.

If you did yesterday’s learning on Google Classroom then you won’t necessarily want watch this video again…but if you didn’t then start with this one:

Everyone watch this one:

Did you guess steam trains for “Full steam ahead Friday”? Well done if you did!

Thank you, that means a lot. I’m glad you are getting lots from the learning. It was so exciting to have a response from Dapo Adeola! I’m so happy for you Kiyana! It is wonderful to have your effort and talent recognised.

It did look a great fun experiment Jovani – let us know what you did please πŸ™‚

  3. Good morning Miss Linsley

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work on the class blog recently, and Kiyana and myself are so excited about Dapo Adeola commenting on her picture. She really tried.

Also I don’t know what experiment you did Jovani with the bubbles but it looks super fun. Well done.
